“This is the irrational season
When love blooms bright and wild.
had Mary been filled with reason
there’d have been no room for the child. (Madeleine L’Engle)
Advent begins in the dark, a fertile space where anticipation grows and our senses soften. This day retreat invites you to cultivate "eyes of wonder"—a child-like curiosity and deep awe for the sacred unfolding in the ordinary. Through poetry, music, and creative expression, we will transition from looking at the world to truly seeing it. Come step away from the noise, honor the rhythms of the season, and rediscover the light that shines in the unexpected places.
We’ll serve a simple soup and bread lunch. Space available for 25 participants.
