40 Days of Practice
Chapter 5 is a short invitation to the 40 days of practice. The title of this chapter says it all - “practice, not perfection.” It invites us to be gentle with ourselves, to offer ourselves grace and to stay curious in this process.
Trent’s invitation to practice for 3 minutes is pure wisdom! Lean into that invitation. It’s a way of setting yourself up for success with this.
A few suggestions and resources that we shared at our gathering last week:
consider downloading an app on your phone to support your practice. I love Meditation Timer. It’s easy to set up with the particulars for your specific practice - including how many minutes you want to practice.
If 3 minutes feels like a stretch, then consider starting with less time and see what you notice. If you’d like to do more, then do! This is your practice.
Use the space on each daily practice page to jot down some reflections from your meditation practice.
